Here's a basic guide to the kind of images we can work on
NON-DIGITAL IMAGES
The good news is that if you only have non-digital images to
supply to us (i.e. paper prints) we can enlarge up to almost any size.
We are limited only by the size of our printer which will take an image
up to 60cm wide and any length. For optimum results, however, it's best
to stay within the aspect ratio (2:1, 3:1...etc) of the original.
DIGITAL IMAGES
For digital images, the higher the setting of your camera, the bigger you can enlarge. If you have a 5+ mega-pixel camera, we should be able to produce whatever size and quality you want. We have produced excellent non-pixellated images of up to A2 size (60cm x 42cm) taken on a 2MP camera in the past but if your camera is in this lower range, factors such as the lighting conditions will affect the quality of the end result. As a general rule of thumb, the bigger the original file size, the bigger it can enlarge without loss of quality.
HOW TO SEND THEM
We accept digital images in JPEG or TIFF format sent to us on CD, as an email attachment (up to 2MB file sizes). For all non-digital images, please send in a stiff envelope.
Please note that we are not responsible for the loss or damage of any images sent to us.
